Boot Campsite has been allowing Mac users to run Windows natively on their Apple computers for several years. While virtualization apps like Parallels or Fusion permit for installing simply near whatever version of Windows to a virtual machine (VM), there are times when the boosted resources required to run the host OS and VM could be better devoted to running one Bone natively without the operation hit.

Certain applications, such as multimedia and CAD or loftier-finish gaming, benefit from every bit much of the computer's resources every bit available. With this in heed, running the latest version of Microsoft'due south OS, Windows 10, has been hamstrung past Apple tree for older Mac hardware.

3. Quit Boot Campsite and launch Terminal.app. And then, enter the command below to edit the plist file, which controls the configuration of the Boot Military camp app.

sudo nano /Applications/Utilities/Boot\ Camp\ Assistant2.app/Contents/Info.plist

4. Whorl down the file until yous notice the section <fundamental>Win7OnlyModels</key> and delete the entire section catastrophe in the </array> (Effigy C).

You are now free to install Windows 10 from optical media by completing the Boot Military camp Assistant process.
